Session 13. 3/4D Printing and Emerging Technologies

Session 13. 3/4D Printing and Emerging Technologies

Session Information and Topics

The combination of 3D/4D printing technology and composites provides a new way and injects new vitality into the design and preparation of composites. Thanks to the design and manufacturing flexibility of 3D/4D printing, the "freeform fabrication" of lightweight and high-strength composite components are possible. This session will focus on the frontier and hotspots in composite 3D/4D printing regarding materials, theories, methods, technologies, etc. Sincerely call for presentations from experts and scholars in this field engaging in the following topics (including but not limited to): 3D printing (continuous) fiber-reinforced composites/particle-reinforced metal matrix composites, 4D printing of novel intelligent composites, 3D/4D printing composite composition and structure design, (large-scale) composite hybrid manufacturing with 3D printing, characterization of 3D/4D printing composite microstructure and performance, 3D/4D printing modeling and process optimization, etc.
