Prof. Ming Qiu Zhang

Sun Yat-sen University

Professor M. Q. Zhang has systematic experience in polymers, polymer blends and polymer composites, with particular interests in their structure-property-processing relationships, characterization techniques, and applications as functional materials. Prof. Zhang has published 2 monograph, 16 book chapters, and more than 400 publications in refereed scientific journals and books on the general topics including mechanical properties of polymers and reinforced polymer composites, nanoparticles surface modification and nanoparticles/polymer composites, bio-composites from renewable resources, interfacial structure in composite materials, macromolecular physics, electrical conductive performance of polymer composites, friction and wear of polymers and composites, and self-healing polymeric materials.



Prof. Jinglei Yang

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

Professor Yang is currently an associate professor of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Executive Director of HKUST-BDR Joint Research Institute at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and Acting Head of Sustainable Energy and Environment Thrust of HKUST(Guangzhou). He is the Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Royal Society of Chemistry. He was included in the top 0.5% list of Academic Impact by Year 2020 among the global materials scientists assessed by a Stanford research. His research fields include microencapsulation and nanomaterials, composites and mechanics, materials informatics and high throughput autonomous synthesis and characterization platform technologies. He is the editorial board member or associate editor of Composites Communications, Functional Composites and Structures, Journal of Micromechanics and Molecular Physics, and others. He published more than 160 journal papers and was granted more than 10 patents.


Prof. Hesheng Xia

Sichuan University

Professor Hesheng Xia received PhD degree from Sichuan University, China in 2001. In 2003-2005, he worked as a Research Associate at Loughborough University, UK. He becomes a full professor at Sichuan University in 2005. He is the international representative of Polymer Processing Society (PPS), and also affiliated professor at the Institute for Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials (IPCB-CNR), Italy. His main research interests include polymer micro/nano-composites, dynamic polymer and mechanochemistry, polymer materials for 3D printing. He has published 230 peer-reviewed papers, 103 patents, and 3 book chapters.
